About Us
We’re a small band of map-obsessed friends who once traced Ibn Battuta’s journeys across an old atlas and decided the best way to honor his spirit was to hit the road—and bring you with us. Together we’ve bartered for saffron in Fez, chased sunrise over Angkor, and compared notes on which overnight trains have the comfiest bunks. GoBattuta is our shared scrapbook: a place where genuine tips, wallet-friendly deals, and tales of kindness from strangers mingle in one continuous story. If we link to a hostel or hiking guide, it’s because one of us has slept there or laced those boots. Sometimes those links buy us another round of street-market dumplings so we can keep exploring—and we always label them so you know. Consider this site an open invitation to swap itineraries, swap recipes, swap big ideas about how travel can make the world a little gentler. Grab your backpack; we’ll save you a seat on the next bus.
